2023 Elections: APC Closes Sales Of Forms

Aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential ticket on Tuesday struggled to beat the deadline slated for the return of the expression of interest and nomination forms.
At the International Conference Centre in Abuja, prominent members who hurriedly returned their forms are Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; consensus APC governorship candidate in Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani and the party’s former spokesman, Senator John James Akpanudoedehe.
Earlier, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling party had extended its sale of expression of interest and nomination forms from Friday, May 6 to Tuesday, May 10, 2022.
The party began selling the forms on Tuesday, April 26, transforming the ICC into a beehive of political activities with many aspirants rushing to obtain the forms.
Aspirants that collected the N100 million presidential forms before the close of work on Friday, May 6, include the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele; ex-Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun; former Zamfara State governor, Sani Ahmed Yerima; Senator representing Ondo-North, Ajayi Boroffice.
Others included Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Ogbonnaya Onu, and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole
