Covid -19: NCDC admits error in numbers of cases as Nigeria records 248 new cases
The Nigeria Centre for Disease control (NCDC) has admmited it made an error in figures released on the 9th of May 2020. The centre on its socail media pages admitted the midtake was due to system error .
In a statemwnt the centre says “On the 9th of May, we announced 45 discharged cases and 4 deaths in FCT
Due to system error, 32 discharged cases and 2 deaths were wrongly announced
Therefore, FCT recorded 13 discharged cases and 2 deaths on May 9 2020
We apologise to the Federal Capital Territory Administration for this error.
The NCDC remains committed to providing valid and accurate data.”
