American Mayor dismisses Binance’s bribery claim by Nigerian officials

…..says it’s a tactic to evade charges.

A mayor in the United States, named Mike Arnold, has asked the Federal Government to ignore claims from Binance, a Cryptocurrency platform, that a Nigerian official requested a $150 million bribe to hinder the investigation and trial of the company’s executives.

The U.S. Mayor says that Binance regularly uses bribery accusations as a way to avoid facing serious criminal investigations and trials.

The Mayor of Blanco, Texas, said in a statement, “Given that we in the United States have our own experience with Binance, I am inclined to believe that this allegation is an attempt by the crypto exchange to escape the Nigerian charges,”

“I do not believe this story. Not even for one second. Not at all. I know officials of the current Nigerian administration, who are some of the finest specimens of gentlemanliness,”

“However, I will give Binance the benefit of the doubt and ask them not to make blanket allegations, but to mention names. Who demanded bribes. Surely not ghosts.

“They must have names. Mentionable names. And if their story is true, Binance is challenged to come clean with the who, what, where and when.”
