Bobrisky falls sick, rushed to the hospital from Police detention
Popular crossdresser, Okuneye Idris, widely known as Bobrisky, has reportedly been rushed to the hospital after falling sick while in detention at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Alagbon, Lagos.
Bobrisky was rushed to Falomo Police Hospital for medical attention after spending the night in a police cell.
“Bobrisky complained of ‘breast’ pain and was rushed to the Police Hospital in the Falomo area of Lagos around 2:00 p.m. in an ambulance with the plate number LND 339L. He wore a black gown, covered his face with a shawl, and lay down in the ambulance,” a source told Vanguard on Wednesday.
It was reported that the crossdresser was arrested on Monday at the Seme border while attempting to flee to neighbouring Benin Republic
Spokesman of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Kenneth Udo, said the crossdresser was a person of interest over recent issues of public concern.
Bobrisky is being investigated in connection with reports that he bribed officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with N15m to drop charges of money laundering against him.
He was also alleged to have admitted in an audio leaked by social media critic, Martins Vincent Otse (VeryDarkMan), that he did not serve his sentence at the correctional facility and was allowed to stay in a rented apartment after bribing officials at the prison.
A panel set up by the Ministry of Interior, however, said there was no evidence that Bobrisky slept outside the prison during his six-month jail term
