Ex Aviation Minister, Sirika, Daughter to appear in court over corruption charges
Former minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika and his daughter are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday to face charges related to a alleged N2.7 billion contract fraud.
The EFCC is scheduled to present former Aviation Minister, Hadi Sirika, for trial before Justice Sylvanus Oriji at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Maitama this coming Thursday.
He is scheduled to appear in court with three other individuals, namely his daughter, Fatima; Jalal Hamma, and Al-Duraq Investment Ltd, on charges of misusing their positions for a total of N2.7 billion.
The anti graft it will be recalled had indicted Sirika, in an alleged contract fraud involving his daughter and in-law as well as fraudulent practices associated with the Nigeria Air debacle.
The indictment is captured in the charges instituted against the ex-aviation minister by the EFCC.
On April 30, the EFCC Spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, disclosed to Newsmen about the anti-graft agency’s plans to prosecute the former minister
