First Lady, Remi Tinubu Donates 100 Million Naira To Victims Of Disasters In Niger State

 

The First Lady of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu, through the Renewed Hope Initiative, RHI has donated N100m to victims of various disasters in Niger State.

A statement by Busola Kukoyi SSA Media to the First Lady of Nigeria says Senator Oluremi Tinubu explained that the funds would be disbursed to 70 families at N1 million per family while the remaining would be used to get food and other supplies.

She also prayed that the State would be free from such occurrences.

She pointed out that though the visit to the State was a private one, the First Lady commended the Governor for his giant strides especially in the area of Agriculture.
“ You have been doing a lot for your state and by extension Nigeria in the area of Agriculture. You should be proud of yourself.”

On her private visit to Former Military President General Ibrahim Babangida and General Abdulsalami Abubakar Senator Oluremi Tinubu explained that it was to check up on them and their welfare.

“ Whatever we do in Abuja will not be complete without coming to them. Ask them how we are faring and seek further advice. They are the Patriarchs of this nation”.

The Governor of Niger State, Dr Muhammed Bago thanked the First Lady for her visit which, though was a private one to commiserate with the victims of the disasters in the state, showed much about a mother’s love.

The Etsu Nupe , Alhaji Dr Yahaya Abubakar appealed to Senator Oluremi Tinubu to visit the State to inaugurate some of his programmes especially in the area of Agriculture.

The visit of the First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu in the company of the Wife of the Vice President Hajia Nana Shettima to Niger State was to commiserate with the state on the recent explosions which claimed several lives.
