Governor Umo Eno Receives N102.63 billion Revenue in Three Months, Disburses N84.36bn

The administration of Governor Umo Eno has within the three months of July, August and September 2023 received the total revenue of N102.63bn. Akwa Ibom State third quarter budget performance report of 2023 has shown.
The report published by the Akwa Ibom State Budget Office shows that within the period, the administration of Governor Umo Eno spent N84.36bn.
Breakdown of the revenue streams shows that within this period, N91.97bn came through Federation Account Allocation Committee while N7.45bn was drawn from Internally Generated Revenue. N2bn was received from Aid and Grants while N1.2bn was gotten from Direct Credit Substitute/Discounting Facility.
On expenditure, analysis of the report shows that N47.71bn was spent on recurrent items while N36.65bn was channeled to capital expenditure.
Analysis of the report shows that despite topping the ARISE Agenda of Governor Umo Eno, attention was not given to the entire Health Sector of the State and the Ministry of Youths and Sports during the period.
Analysis of the Capital expenditure for the above sectors recorded Zero. Other key sectors like the Water Sanitation and Hygiene through the Akwa Ibom State Water Company and Akwa Ibom State Rural Water Supply And Sanitation Agency also had zero release.
Education however received N751m for capital projects within the period.
Meanwhile, analysis of the report showed that the key spenders for the period were Ministry of Works and Fire Service- N25.8bn, Office of the Accountant General -N18.5bn, and Governor’s Office – N6.33bn.
