Just in : Senator Ifeanyi Ubah is dead
The Senator representing Anambra South, and a member of the ruling APC, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, is dead.
The entrepreneur and businessman was the founder and CEO of Capital Oil, a company he established in 2001.
Ubah’s life was marked by a close call in September 2022 when he narrowly escaped an assassination attempt. His convoy was ambushed by gunmen on his way to Nnewi in Enugwu-Ukwu, Anambra State, resulting in the loss of at least five lives, including two police officers. Ubah’s survival was attributed to the bulletproof vehicle he was riding in.
The late senator was a devoted family man, married to Uchenna, a Business Administration graduate from Ahmadu Bello University, with whom he had five children. He was also a philanthropist, running the Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation, aimed at giving back to the community.He also established a football club ,FC Ifeanyi Ubah
Ubah’s death has sent shockwaves through the political and business circles, with tributes pouring in from colleagues and associates . He was reported to have died after a surgical operation in the UK . The nation once again is mourning the loss of a prominent figure in Nigerian politics and entrepreneurship
His death came few days after the President General of Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu died at the age of 81.
