With the stage set for the commencement of the 2019/20 season of the Nigerian National League (NNL), players of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, have been lectured on the role of positive attitude.
Team Manager of the Oluyole Warriors, Dimeji Lawal, took time out to talk to the players on the need for them to djsplay high level discipline as the team gets set for hostilities in the second tier league.
Speaking with the players after one of their recent training sessions, Lawal, a legend in the round leather game, charged the players to add good attitude to their skills and talents, if they hope to succeed as individuals and as a team.
“We are about to start our campaign this season. I must commend you all for your dedication and committment so far.
“At this juncture, I want to advise you to add positive attitude to your talents.
“You may have all the talents in this world but if you lack discipline, you mind end up wasting your talents,” stated, Kabongo, a former Golden Eaglets, Flying Eagles and Super Eagles star.
Lateness to training, lackadaisical attitude on and off the pitch, failure to follow orders, indescent dressing among other things are attitudes that can hinder your talent from producing the desired results.
“I advise all of you to help your career and help the club to get the desired results through positive attitude on and off the field,” said the ex Real Madrid and Shooting Stars winger.
Shooting Stars begin their quest for a return to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) with a home game against Go Round FC of Omoku on Sunday.
