Ondo 2024: Oyebanji rallies support for Ayedatiwa, urges all Ekiti indigenes in Ondo State to vote APC

 

 

The Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has urged all Ekiti indigenes in Ondo State to vote for All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa in Saturday’s Governorship polls.

The 2024 Ondo State gubernatorial election will take place on 16 November 2024.

According to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, 17 political parties have nominated candidates for the election.

The final list of candidates published by INEC on June 14th, 2024 includes incumbent Governor, who was also former deputy Governor of the state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC), former deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi, of the main opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and 15 others.

At a solidarity rally in Akure, Oyebanji expressed confidence in Ayedatiwa’s landslide victory across the state’s 18 Local Governments.

He praised Ayedatiwa’s achievements since becoming Governor, citing unrivaled development in the state.

Oyebanji’s visit aimed to canvass support and dialogue with Ekiti indigenes, accompanied by top government and party officials. He emphasized the importance of retaining Ondo State within the progressive fold and noted Ayedatiwa’s fitness for the role.

The Governor also commended Ekiti people for collecting their voter cards and appreciated their support during his election.

“I appreciate all of you for honouring our invitation and your support for us during our election in Ekiti state, this is the first time I am meeting you after the election, I am extremely grateful” Oyebanji said.

He acknowledged aspirants who contested the APC primary for staying united against opposition.

APC Chairman in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, thanked Oyebanji for his leadership, emphasizing the historical unity between Ekiti and Ondo states.
