Police Restates Commitment to EFCC
The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, Ahmed Ammani , has restated the commitment of the police to continue to collaborate and support the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in the pursuit of its mandate.
He stated this on Thursday, September 15, 2022 while receiving the Enugu Zonal Commander of the EFCC, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, ACE Johnson Oshodi who paid him a Courtesy Visit. According to him , the Police is proud of the EFCC and would continue to help the Commission in tackling economic and financial crimes.
“It is our pride as police officers that those whom we have trained are performing their functions well. We will always render help in any way we can , to see that the EFCC continues to perform its mandate”, he said.
Ammani, newly appointed Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, recalled his moments with the EFCC as a seconded staff of the Commission, stating that he was delighted with his assignments while at the Commission.
In his remark, Oshodi thanked the Enugu Command of the Nigerian police for the smooth relationship the EFCC and the Police have been enjoying in the state over the years. According to him, “synergy is an understatement compared to the relationship and co-existence we have shared in Enugu. Having been a part of us, my team and I are here to welcome you officially to the state”, he said.
In another vein, Promoters of Brand Ambassadors of the Southern Entertainment Awards, have expressed their willingness to collaborate with the EFCC, in its fight against internet fraud and other forms of economic and financial crimes.
This disclosure was made in Enugu, on Thursday, September 15, 2022 by the President of the group, Nnaemeka Okeke ,while on a Courtesy Visit to the Enugu Zonal Command of the EFCC. According to her, the EFCC is making remarkable progress in its fight against corrupt practices and her group desired to be part of the efforts being made in tackling cyber crimes.
