Three Robbery Suspects Arrested In Lagos Nigeria

The police operatives in Lagos State have arrested three robbery suspects in the Obalende area of the state.

Identified as Stephen Olawale, James Ayeba, and Uzochukwu, the suspects were arrested during a stop-and-search operation by the police.

Items found in their possession include a locally made pistol, Lagos State Rider’s permit and substance suspected to be hard drugs.

“Officers of Lagos State Police Command, while on Stop and Search duty at Obalende, Lagos, arrested one Stephen Olawale ‘m’ aged 42, James Ayeba ‘m’ aged 21 and Uzochukwu ‘m’ aged 38, after it was found in the possession of the suspects a locally made pistol, Lagos State Rider’s permit and substance suspected to be hard drugs,” the state police command said in a statement on Monday, adding that “investigation is ongoing.”

The 39-year-old, who was arrested in Oshodi, was already disassembling the car to sell in parts before his arrest.

“Officers of Ilupeju Division, while investigating a report about a Toyota Yaris Saloon Car that was removed from where it was parked, arrested one Monday Julius ‘m’ aged 39 at Oshodi.

“The suspect had however begun to disassemble the car to sell in parts as he could not sell it whole. The vehicle has been recovered and investigation is ongoing,” the police said
